Bogotá is always a special place for me to visit as it is where my mom grew up. I hadn't been there in almost ten years, so it was a joy to walk around Plaza Bolívar watching matching outfit school girls giggle in huddles, young military men performing their morning practices and of course—the roasted ants being sold.
